If you are getting the above error, then:
a) Ensure that you are logged in as an Administrator
b) Disable the Security Software that you have on the computer and try again.
c) Check the add/remove programs (programs and features in Windows Vista and 7) and uninstall the Fixit if you see it there.
d) Click on Start >> Run >> type services.msc and click on ok
e) On the services page, look for “Microsoft Automation Troubleshooting Service”
f) Right Click on it and click on properties
g) Click on Log On tab and select “local system” instead of “this account” and check the option “allow the service to interact with the desktop”
h) Restart the computer and try to run the fixit again
