It seems to be an issue with the file associations. Please try these steps:
1. Click on start
2. Click on Run
3. Type regedit and click on OK
4. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts
5. 2. Expand the FileExts key
6. Delete all its sub keys
7. Close registry editor and restart the computer
8. Check if the issue is resolved
