I did a clean install on winxp pro, it ended with an “unexpected error”, it won’t install, shows me the error message and reboot tries to reinstall, and same error. I checked around and it could be due to the intallation disk that was scratched and unable to read files (i tried to image the disk and failed). i did make a copy of the disk earlier, but it was bootable. i tried to put in the copied cd, tried to browse for the file but couldn’t (don’t kn ow the drive and file).?

I was using Picasa, on an XP system, the screen froze, couldn’t do a thing, had to press restart button on front of PC, and it froze on the black starting screen, 5 or more times, I pulled out the plugs, then it seemed to start normally, froze again, I left it for ten minutes and got through to windows, but then it said I had to get to wer.microsoft.com to download some engine that was needed. Some moments on from this, I noticed it has lost sight of the second hard drive… Any thoughts??
