Please try these steps:

a) Run the sfc scannow.
• Click on Start
• Click on All Programs
• Click on Accessories
• Right click on the Command Prompt and click on Run as Administrator
• At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow and click on Ok
• Check if you are getting the same error.
b) Make sure that you have the latest service pack installed.
