Try the following steps:

• Open Backup and Restore by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Backup and Restore.
• In the left pane, click Create a system repair disc, and then follow the steps. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

I have windows 7 my problem started when I turned off my computer forcefully due to power failure, it can boot to username and when I put my password and click on login screen becomes black with white cursor and nothing on screen, I tried Ctrl + Alt + Del to launch task manager but only says lock computer , log off , change password, I don’t have task manager listed there , I tried safe mode also but same thing happened. every time i click on an application it comes up with "open with" and it doesn’t always open the apps as administrator as it should be, a warning message pops up instead of any program, really all i need to know is what to do, either re-boot the system or system restore as it is not really good for me as i am not familiar with the system, any answers appreciated, thanks

I installed Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor on my Windows Vista laptop recently (about a week ago). It checked my PC if it able to run Windows 7. Anyway I got an answer and now I DO NEED to remove upgrade advisor. I looked for a folder in Start menu where there could have been an option to remove the software (but there was no such folder). I also checked Add or Remove Programs. There was no entry for Upgrade Advisor in Programs or Updates as well. How can I remove it?
