We need to check the superfetch service which is related to Readyboost.
• Click on Start.
• Go to Control Panel.
• Open Administrative tools, right click on Services and select Run as administrator.
• Scroll down for Superfetch and double click to open it.
• Under General tab, change the Startup type to Automatic and click on Start.
If there is any problem starting the Superfetch service then follow the steps below
Before you follow the steps below , please backup the registry.
• Click on Start.
• Click on Run.
• Type regedit in the empty box and press Enter.
• Navigate to the following location HKLM\system\CurrentControlSet\services\sysmain
• Now take full control of the Sysmain folder.
Assigning Permissions to a Registry Key
o Click the key that you want to assign permissions.
o On the Edit menu, click Permissions.
o Click the group or user name that you want to work with.
o Select the Allow check box for Full Control to give permission to open, edit, and take ownership of the key.
• Once you take ownership, try to restart the Superfetch service and check.
