Once in a few days, when I boot my win7 computer, I see a black vertical line on the left side of the screen. Rebooting the computer fixes it and it does not happen for a few days.

Try the following steps:

(a) Update the video drivers.
(b) Reset the monitor to default through menu in display.
(c) Re seat all the video cables.
(d) Run Windows Update.

Hi. I just got a Dell mini that has no disc drive. Used to be my wife\'s but she got new computer so using this one for school. I pretty much want to restore it to factory defaults but cant find a way to do it. There is a ton of stupid programs and it seems to bog the comp. There are so many that I dont know what came with comp and what was downloaded. Pretty much want it fresh out the box again. Not interested in saving anything on it.
