If you are facing freezing issues, it may be due to corrupt and incompatible software’s, malware infections etc. You have not mentioned why you are unable to open facebook/gmail accounts, does the browser give some error messages? Please perform the following steps:

(a) Please update your Antivirus and boot to safe mode by pressing F8 key at system startup, perform a full scan of your system.
(b) If you have a anti spyware software, scan your system, else you can download many free ones like Spybot from the link http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html
(c) Delete the TEMP folder contents.
(d) Delete any programs that you are not using.
(e) Reduce the startup programs from the Start>run>type msconfig, hit enter>go to startup tab and uncheck programs that you don’t want to start with Windows.
(f) Run a windows update.
(g) De fragment your computer’s hard disk
