This issue may be due to poor resource allocation, please try the following steps:
(a) Make sure your system is having good physical memory and CPU specifications.
(b) Use the msconfig utility to reduce the number of startup programs.
(c) Update the Operating system.
(d) Download and install the latest media player and codecs.
(e) Scan your system with the latest antivirus software.
(f) Update the video and the audio drivers from the system manufacturer website.
(g) Enable disable hardware acceleration and see if it makes any difference.
