The Gadgets are not being displayed in the Windows Vista Sidebar. How can I fix this issue?

The answer to a similar query as posted by you is here at http://www.askiyogi.com/windows/8323.html Please follow all the steps mentioned in this link. Its almost same for Vista aswell.

• Click on start, click on run and type cmd
• Run it as administrator
• Type regsvr32 jscript.dll and hit enter.
• Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll and hit enter.
• Change the value data for Zones in the registry.
1. Click Start, and then type regedit in the Search box
2. Click regedit.exe under Programs
3. Browse to the following registry key and click on the “0” subkey
4. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones
5. In the right pane, right-click 1200, and then click Modify
6. In the Value data box, type either 1 or 0 to overwrite the existing value of 3. Then, click OK
7. Close the registry editor
8. Check to see that the issue is resolved
• Delete the extra (parasite) zone from the Zones subkey
1. Click Start, and then type regedit in the Search box
2. Click regedit.exe under Programs
3. Browse to the following registry key and click on the “0” subkey
4. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones .
5. Delete the extra (parasite) zone from the Zones subkey
 The parasite zone is a pseudo-graphic number listed before zone number 0. The pseudo-graphic number looks like a miniature upper case "L"
6. Close the registry editor
7. Check to see that the issue is resolved
• Restore Gadgets to the Default Settings
1. Click Start, Control Panel and then click Appearance and Personalization
2. Click Restore Desktop Gadgets installed with Windows under Desktop Gadgets
3. Select Appearance and Personalization
4. Then click on Restore Desktop Gadgets installed with Windows
• Turn off and then turn on the Windows Gagets Platform
1. Click Start, click Control Panel
2. Click Programs and Features
3. Click Turn Windows features on or off on the left pane
4. Uncheck Windows Gadgets Platform
5. Click Yes to continue, and click OK to quit
6. Restart your computer
7. Turn the Windows Gadgets Platform back on by following the steps above and placing a check beside Windows Gadgets Platform
8. Restart your computer again
• Do an Inplace Upgrade
