On upgrading DirectX on my Windows 7-based laptop, there is the error message “An internal system error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine problem”. How to resolve this error?

Please try the following steps:

(a) Download the latest copy of the DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35
(b) Turn off the antivirus software for some time.
(c) Run the downloaded file as administrator.
(d) Run a Windows update after the installation.

Since last weekend, I’ve been dealing with the BSOD thing. I managed to get the minidump file information somehow. I use Windows 7, a few weeks ago while I was using the Internet my window closed and I was informed by Win7 that I had a virus and I had to purchase Win7antispyware to get rid of it, at the time I didn't realise this was a fake program, I downloaded it and nothing changed at all, I then purchased McAfee security which took away all the bad stuff I'd paid for in Win7... but now all of my desktop icons have disappeared and can't even be found on the start menu. My background pic has vanished. I am getting message that my hard drive is failing although MacAfee is saying system is secure.

Hey upond waking the system from sleep mode by tapping a key on the keyboard the key i press continues to input. For example system goes to sleep and I wake using the F key and open internet explorer and click the address bar it goes FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF until i hit another key to cancel it out. After doing this it behaves normally.
