As per Microsoft, the minimum RAM requirement for installing Windows 7 32 bit is 1 GB and 2 GB for the 64 bit version. So, if you want to install the 64 bit version of the operating system, it is recommended that you upgrade the RAM to at least 2 GB for best result.
