There may be many reason why your clipboard is not working like large data in clipboard, malware issue, service failure etc. As a first step, please try this:

1. Click on Start
2. Type services.msc and hit enter in search box.
3. Find These services:
o Network DDE DSDM.
o Network DDE.
o Clipbook.
4. Right Click on Each>stop and them start.
5. Run a fully updated security software scan on your system.
