There are at times when you want a brand new installation of a software. There may be issues with the earlier installation. Once you remove all traces of the earlier software and install a new copy its known as clean install. Mostly it is in reference to OS installation where you first format the HDD and then install a fresh copy without the traces of any older settings/files.

If killing someone was not illegal, my computer’s domain administrator would be a dead man already. I ran a virus scan and deleted some files that were supposedly “Harmful”. Since then, a lot of desktop shortcuts have refused to do their jobs or even look the way they are supposed to look (they’re just a bunch of boxes now).
