Is it necessary to update the drivers in Windows 7? If I don't update the drivers, will it affect the functioning of devices?

The main reason to update your drivers is errorless performance of your system. Hardware manufacturers are purposely releasing updates also for the same purpose. Old drivers may become incompatible and create conflicts leading to slow performance and other issues.

I am in a habit of keep my computer clean. I run regular scan and delete junk files and stuff. It works really great. My slow computer is driving me crazy. Bought my laptop six months ago…..it's now running very slow…takes forever to start and open programs.
