In Windows 7, can I remove the fonts that I do not require and are not used by me?

Steps to delete fonts are given below:
STEP 1. At first, Open Control Panel.
STEP 2. Next, open the Fonts folder.
STEP 3. Don’t forget to take a backup of your fonts folder, you may require it in future.
STEP 4. Once you’re done with Windows 7 backup , you can easily uninstall any unused fonts from the folder to speed up the Windows 7 performance.
