Hello Maya, if you are getting the error "the action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program" we need to follow these steps.

• Empty the recycle bin.

Check if the issue is resolved or not.

• Start >> Run >> type Temp and click on OK. Delete all the files
• Start >> Run >> %temp% and click on OK. Delete all the files
• Start >> Run >> Prefetch and click on OK. Delete all the files
• Do disk cleanup
• Check the space on the harddrive
• Increase the virtual Memory.

Check if the issue is resolved or not.

• Use Unlocker to perform the action.
• Download it from http://download.cnet.com/Unlocker/3000-2248_4-10493998.html and install it
• Once it is installed right click on the file or folder you are using to perform the action.
• This tool will unlock all of the old processes locking that file and it can delete,rename , copy and move the file.
