Hi! My laptop keeps shutting down after some time. I have not enabled sleep or hibernation modes. Can't unserstand why this is happening.

Please try these steps:

a) Check the Power Option in Control Panel
b) Select “never” for the option “Turn off the Hard Drive”
c) Disconnect all the external peripherals connected to the computer, except for the keyboard, mouse and monitor
d) Restart and check if you are still facing the same issue
e) If the issue does not re-occur, then connect the peripherals one at a time and restart to check which peripheral is causing the issue.
f) Update the divers of that device.
g) If the issue still re-occurs, then restart the computer in safe mode. To go to Safe Mode:
• Turn the computer on
• Keep tapping the F8 key when you see the OEM Logo.
• If you get the Windows Advanced Options Menu, select Safe Mode with Networking using the arrow keys on the keyboard.
• Press enter if you are prompted to select the Operating System.
• Login with your name to the Safe Mode
• Check if the computer is still freezing
h) If the issue does not re-occur, then we will do a clean boot.
• Click on start
• Click on Run
• Type msconfig and hit enter
• On the System Configuration window, click on the startup tab
• Click on disable all at the bottom right
• Now click on the services tab on the top
• Ensure that you have a check mark in the box “Hide All Microsoft Services”.
• Click on disable all at the bottom right
• Save changes and restart the computer in the normal mode
• Check if the issue is resolved
i) If you have multiple security software installed, please uninstall the one that you do not use
