What exactly is the error that you are getting? At what time of the update process do you get the error?
Please follow these steps to fix the issue:
a) Reset the Internet Explorer.
• Open Internet Explorer
• Click on Tools and then on Internet Options
• Under the Advanced Tab, click on the reset button (if you are using Internet Explorer 7 and above)
• Re-open the browser and check for the updates again.
b) Disable the Security Software and try to run the updates again
c) Check for the following services and make sure that they are started and set to automatic
• Background Intelligence Transfer Service
• Cryptographic Service
• Windows Update
