Please perform these steps:

• Open Computer by clicking the Start button and then clicking Computer.
• Click Map network drive.
• In the Drive list, click a drive letter. You can choose any available letter.
• In the Folder box, type the path of the folder or computer, or click Browse to find the folder or computer. To connect every time you log on to your computer, select the Reconnect at logon check box.
• Click Finish. Your computer is now connected, or mapped, to the network drive.

Basically it all started with my wireless internet. It would claim to be connected to my household network but IE would still show the network disconnected page. I would run diagnostics and it would always say check my firewall settings, even if it was turned off. Then i rebooted my computer and my system's profile settings would not load.

when i try to run my network troubleshooter I get message 'A problem is preventing the troubleshooter from opening', so I clicked error details and managed to get somewhere on windows that told me to run the 'SFC /scannow' function in an elevated CMD prompt. So I ran it and it gets to 12% then says: 'Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.'

I had been getting a warning about my windows 7 being pirated on my toshiba netbook, so I went out andbought an XP disk.. but as there's no cd drive, I had to make a bootable USB flash drive. Now I get a message on the first part of setup..... "Setup can not make the folder '\Windows, set up can not continue'" and that's it. Any ideas? I've made bootable drives before so I know what I am doing.
