If your system is infected with Malware, it needs immediate removal. You have not mentioned if any security software is installed in your system and with OS is installed. Try the following:

(a) Follow steps given in http://www.askiyogi.com/spyware-virus/i-get-a-message-that-my-computer-is-infected/766.html
(b) Run anti spyware and antivirus software installed in your system, first update it. If it is not installed, download the same from internet. If internet is not available, download it from another system which is online.
(c) Delete the temp folder contents.
(d) Backup data in an external drive and scan it thoroughly before using it in another system.
(e) Do not perform a system restore for some days.
(f) Run Windows Update

While I was working on my computer, the security software flashed a message that it has blocked Backdoor:Win32/Bifrose from a CD I was using. I immediately removed the CD. Is my computer also now infected by this malware?

I have a Dell computer and I think it’s infected because when I start computer it works fine for 5-10 mins but after 5 – 10 mins security essential and malwarebytes start blocking a bunch of activities and it blue screens. I ran security essential scan it found Trojan DOS/alureon.A but malware didn’t find anything.

I use Windows 7, a few weeks ago while I was using the Internet my window closed and I was informed by Win7 that I had a virus and I had to purchase Win7antispyware to get rid of it, at the time I didn't realise this was a fake program, I downloaded it and nothing changed at all, I then purchased McAfee security which took away all the bad stuff I'd paid for in Win7... but now all of my desktop icons have disappeared and can't even be found on the start menu. My background pic has vanished. I am getting message that my hard drive is failing although MacAfee is saying system is secure.

Ive got a big problem with my laptop, it had a virus a month or so ago and I think I managed to get ride of it with antivirus software. Hoever about a week ago it started doing this, each time I turn a screen comes up saying windows was not shut down succesfully and 4 options appear, normal mode, safe mode and a couple of other. Whichever one I choose the blue screen flashes up for about 1/2 a second and it restarts itself. It just does the exact same thing over and over again and I dont know why??????????
