If you have security software installed, please use it to remove the worm. Else you can use many tools that are available online to remove this work, please download the same from http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2003-081119-5051-99 and follow the instruction there.

I use Windows 7, a few weeks ago while I was using the Internet my window closed and I was informed by Win7 that I had a virus and I had to purchase Win7antispyware to get rid of it, at the time I didn't realise this was a fake program, I downloaded it and nothing changed at all, I then purchased McAfee security which took away all the bad stuff I'd paid for in Win7... but now all of my desktop icons have disappeared and can't even be found on the start menu. My background pic has vanished. I am getting message that my hard drive is failing although MacAfee is saying system is secure.

I clicked a link in an email and now I believe the link sent me to a site which infected my laptop. I can no longer surf the web - IE and Mozilla both tell me it is unsafe to do so. A program called "XP Security 2012" keeps popping up asking me to scan my laptop.

My computer has a crazy virus that displays a bunch of popups every time I start it. How can I get rid of it? I’ve tried running a virus scan by the way. It deletes some files every time but the popups are back every time I restart the computer.

I got xp home security malware again this time it’s different and created a hell lot of trouble. When I attempt to open or run any program it popup “open with” box. I can boot into safe mode and admin account there it works fine but without internet connection. I ran scan from various programs like superantispyware , malwarebytes , smitfraudfix etc… but it doesn’t allow to run anyone of them. This is my story I m expecting ur answer
