While browsing the web, a message flashed on the screen that my computer was infected by several viruses and I need to run a scan using Antivirus Live. The browser keeps redirecting to the website of Antivirus Live. It seems that my computer is infected by a virus. Please suggest what should I do.

Download and install hijackthis from http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html * Run it and save the log file , You'll get this option here on hijackthis * Now open website http://hijackthis.de * Copy all contents from log file and paste it on this website * Click on analyse button and then wait for analysis result * Select all red crossed option on hijackthis window * Click on fix all checked option * Restart the computer after you have clicked on it. Now you are good to go. You won't face webpage redirection issue anymore

I've picked up one of those fake virus alerts. It wont let me run any programs, every time I try it says program cant be activated due to suspect virus activity and moved to quarantine.Please activate antivirus to clean application. Any clues?

I got xp home security malware again this time it’s different and created a hell lot of trouble. When I attempt to open or run any program it popup “open with” box. I can boot into safe mode and admin account there it works fine but without internet connection. I ran scan from various programs like superantispyware , malwarebytes , smitfraudfix etc… but it doesn’t allow to run anyone of them. This is my story I m expecting ur answer

My security essentials tells me that the computer has ‘Rogue:Win32/FakeRean’ after the scan. The problem is, every time I restart, it comes back and won’t let me do anything. Any way I can get rid of it for good?

Avast placed a threat in to the virus vault last night and for some reason I then deleted it from the vault. This morning when I boot up the laptop and try to open applications such as internet/live mail nothing happens. When trying to access websites via desktop shortcuts I get 'There was a problem sending the command to the program' message. Thought I would try restoring system to 24 hours ago but nothing happens when I select system restore. Help much appreciated as I particularly need to access my calendar in Windows Livemail. Strangely, I can access the internet by clicking IE 64 bit from the start/programs menu but not Windows Live mail that way. Thank you.

How to remove virus when internet access is blocked by virus? My friend’s computer is infected by windows7 security 2012 and his internet is blocked. He can access his files and folders. Upon doing any Google search, most of the time, the first time I click on a result link, I get redirected to random sites, nothing pornographic or anything, and really, nothing of consistency. Seemingly, these redirects are purely random.What is the fix ?

Windows XP won't let me access the internet anymore as it believes my computer is infected. I run my McAfee virus scan and it detects nothing. Only one of the user accounts on my computer is affected. The pop-up windows want me to "register" XP Security but I am reluctant to do so. It does a "scan" and shows me 27 viruses. None of these are found when I run the McAfee scan. Any thoughts?
