a) Try to play the multimedia file on a different computer
b) Try a different media payer like VLC or Real Player.
c) Try to install the codecs for the Windows Media player. You can download the codecs from the following link:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=6463&s=775
d) Install the codecs for Windows Media Player. Once done, restart the computer.
