You can use the automatic updating feature of the AVG. Still if you need to manually update it, please visit the link http://free.avg.com/us-en/download-update and download the update file. Now follow these steps manuall 1.There are two files, labeled "AVI" and "IAVI"---both followed by numers.
2.Move these files to a folder. It is best to create a new folder, with nothing but these two files in it.
3.Open the AVG Antivirus application.
4.Select "Tools" from the menu bar and click "Update from Directory." Locate the folder containing the BIN files and select "OK." AVG will process and apply the updates
