i am getting error 0x80070645 Running XP Pro with SP3 installed and auto updates on and current and up until now running MSE with no issue. Attempted to comply MSE new version notice and above error came up during download/install. Uninstalled the working version of MSE and attempted the MSE download/install with same error result.

Please follow the steps mentioned below.

• Be sure that you do not have any other security software installed on the computer or any file or folder related to them.
• Check for the Fixit on the Microsoft website or uninstall MSE.
• Remove the 2 registry keys mentioned below
o HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > Installer > UpgradeCodes > 1F69ACF0D1CF2B7418F292F0E05EC20B
o ---Right click on1F69ACF0D1CF2B7418F292F0E05EC20Band delete the key
o HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Installer > Upgrade Codes > 1F69ACF0D1CF2B7418F292F0E05EC20B
o --- Right click on1F69ACF0D1CF2B7418F292F0E05EC20Band delete the key.
• Restart the computer .
• Reinstall MSE and try to upgrade now.
