Please follow the steps below to get rid of AOL Messenger:
1Click the "Start Menu" button located on the left bottom of the task bar of your computer.
2 Scroll to "Control Panel" and click on it.
3 Click on the "Uninstall a Program" link under Programs from the list of menus or features displayed in the Control Panel window.
4 Scroll down to "AOL Instant Messenger" from the list of programs displayed. Right click on it.
5 Click on the "Uninstall/Change" pop out. Click "Yes" once the command asks for permission again to remove. Removing the program will take a few minutes relative to the processing power of your computer.
