Hi, I got McAfee along with my internet subscription. It was all good until the last time I worked on the system. Today, when I logged in, the icon for McAfee was missing from the system tray. It was also missing from the list of programs in the start menu.

You have not mentioned which OS you are using and did you made any recent change like any updates etc. Try these steps:
(a) Please check McAfee folder at Start>Computer>c:>program Files, if it is there, open the folder and look for McAfee application, if found, create a shortcut to the desktop and then open it and see if it opens properly.
(b) If you are unable to trace McAfee, try to restore your system to a previous date when McAfee was there in your system.
(c) Make sure the subscription is active for McAfee.
