In windows explorer, i double click on a word 2007 doc and i get an error message ‘there was a problem sending the command to the program’. if i click on it a second time – it will open. Irritating ….. any suggestions?

If you are facing this issue, I understand how irritation it is, please follow these steps:

• Open Excel 2007
• Open the Menu in the top left
• Click the "Excel Options" button
• Click the advanced tab on the left of the options screen
• Under the general options uncheck the box "Ignore other application that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)"
