On opening a Microsoft Word 2010 document, I get an error message that the start and end tag elements do not match. How can I fix this error?

If you go as per the XML rules in http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath-help/about-xml-HP001096728.aspx, it states that:
Element start and end tag names must be identical XML is case-sensitive, so the name of an end tag must exactly match the name of its accompanying start tag.
Most likely some of the xml tags need to be balanced ( = open tag must match closing tag). Check the XML codes for this discrepancy and try to correct it.
