If you are facing the above issues, then please try these steps:

a) Click on Start
b) Click on Run
c) Register the following files by typing the following commands one by one and pressing ok
• regsvr32 msmpeg2vdec.dll
• regsvr32 msmpeg2adec.dll
• regsvr32 msmpeg2enc.dll
d) Re-open Windows DVD Maker and check if you are getting the error again.
e) If the above steps do not help, then try this:
• Click on start
• Click on run
• Type sfc /scannow and click on ok
• Let the scan complete and then try again.
