This issue usually appears on Mac computers. Please try these steps to resolve the issue:

a) Check if you have adobe reader installed on the computer. If you do not, then you can download it from here:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/
b) Right click on the .aspx or .ashx file and rename it with a .pdf extension. Check if you are able to view/open the file in adobe reader
c) Right click on the file and click on open with. Chose adobe reader from the list and set it as the default program.
