On logging in to Windows Live Messenger, the program stops responding. I have recently upgraded to Windows Live Essentials 2011. My computer has Windows 7. Please offers suggestions for this issue.

Please try the following steps:
(a) Start your computer in safe mode with networking and open Windows Live Messenger program to check if the issue persists. If it does not, there may be some programs that may be conflicting and it needs to be identified.
(b) Run a Windows update.
(c) Try to uninstall both messenger and essentials and reinstall them again.
