On Microsoft Excel, I am trying to type in numbers like 1.1 and 1.10. It is very important that I am able to have both decimals present, as 1.1 is different from 1.10. However, the only options that I can find would be to change every single cell to the desire amount of decimals (which would take too long), or to set the entire sheet to one style (where 1.1 changes to 1.10 or vice versa).

Here we can try to change the format.
1. On the Home tab, click the Dialog Box Launcher next to Number.
2. In the Category box, click Number, Currency, Accounting, Percentage, or Scientific.
3. In the Decimal places box, enter the number of decimal places that you want to display.
For more specific options, you can go through the link http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/change-the-decimal-places-displayed-for-numbers-HP001216499.aspx
