I need to understand where is the administrator password been asked? Are you getting a Windows security prompt to launch the application? If yes, are you the administrator or just a regular user in a computer. The location of the application also needs to be known. Are you launching the installer of the main application? Please provide these details. If you are the administrator, when you provide the password what happens? In the mean time try to use the web messenger at http://explore.live.com/windows-live-messenger-web-im-using

I have a problem with programs not opening on my vista computer. Be it Excel or PDF, nothing opens at all. All it says is that the program required for it is missing. I have Office Adobe etc and I've had no problems with them until now.
