There may be issues with the update process. Please try these steps:
(A) Make sure the account you are suing is administrator.
(B) If you have more than one antivirus installed, remove others.
(C) You can try manual updates from http://www.symantec.com/business/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=n95
(D) Try to update the version of Live Update from https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?lg=english&ct=united+states&docid=20080407120325EN&product=home&version=1&pvid=f-home
(E) Check if the subscription is active or not.
