To take a back up of my address book in Microsoft Outlook Express, I copied its content on a CD. When I try to open the copied address book, the error "Address Book has been locked by another application. Please close the other application and try again" is displayed. My computer has Windows XP. What should I do??

There is a blank section which is coming at the top of the screen on my Windows 7-based computer. Do I need to change the screen settings??
