I'm using Vista Home Basic.I've been using an external WD hard drive for storage and it's been fine until today. All of a sudden it has disappeared. At microsoft I used the fix it tool and it says reinstalling the driver might fix - I say yes - Device driver comes up saying installed successfully - but the drive starts working continually until I unplug the usb or turn off. The same thing repeats again. ?
