Unless you’ve manually updated the driver/software for the webcam from the HP website, I would recommend you do that.

It can be found at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4062&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=4051806#N596 under ‘Software - Solutions’.

If you have already reinstalled the software manually and also installed all available updates, the problem could be associated with the physical webcam hardware. You will need to get the laptop checked for hardware fault at a local tech shop.

Dear Sir , I have Samsung Laptop and I have formatted it recently (just 5 days ago ) .I use Microsoft security essentials as my antivirus . But now , i have a problem . The free space in disk C is rapidly decreasing as the used space is continuously increasing . I even checked for any virus , spyware or malware with spyhunter , PC Tools Internet Security 2011 and Microsoft security essentials . But no virus is being detected .I am so concerned about this . I have a three-year contract with iYogi. Part of the start-up I belive was the installation of Automated PC Tune-up. I keep getting messsages that my computer needs cleanup. I have run the analysis and there are what I would call a huge number of errors. However, when I attempted to clean them up I received the message that the trial period is over and I would need to purchase the program. My question is. Was this originally part of the $400 I paid or was just the trial period included and I would now need to purchase the program to get all these errors cleaned up. I have not been able to find my ID and PW. Can you help me find them for future reference? Thanks.
