My daughter has a Toshiba Satellite L305d/s5974 laptop. We are have a problem with the power supply. Will not charge or run. Is there a dock, media cable, port replicator or any device that can use an alternate port to power and/no charge the laptop. Need a workaround rather than another expensive repair. Please help!

Before you purchase a docking station or a media cable, try to figure out what’s causing the issue. If the battery is too old to charge the way it used to, you might just need to replace it.

Docks and battery slices will cost you more and will be less convenient in terms of portability but you can check for them online if you are looking to purchase one.

My Toshiba laptop broke, I removed the hard drive and have it in an external box.It has windows vista 32 bit, I really need all the information on this old hard drive. I bought a new Toshiba with windows 7 64 bit. How do I recover the information on the old hard drive to the new one? I have a disc that when installed, it wants to clone. should I do this or not.
