Some more details would have helped. Here are the steps to remove the login password for a Windows 7 user account:

• Click Start, click ‘Control Panel’ and change the ‘View by’ setting to ‘Small icons’.
• Click ‘User Accounts’ and click ‘Remove your password’.
• Type your current password when you are prompted to and click ‘Remove Password’.
• Close all windows.

I have a three-year contract with iYogi. Part of the start-up I belive was the installation of Automated PC Tune-up. I keep getting messsages that my computer needs cleanup. I have run the analysis and there are what I would call a huge number of errors. However, when I attempted to clean them up I received the message that the trial period is over and I would need to purchase the program. My question is. Was this originally part of the $400 I paid or was just the trial period included and I would now need to purchase the program to get all these errors cleaned up. I have not been able to find my ID and PW. Can you help me find them for future reference? Thanks.

I have a laptop that i received from the family of a friend who recently passed away. It is fairly new and has password protection on it and I dont know the password. Also, there is no option to boot from the dvd drive in the bios, so I cant just wipe the hd with a new copy of windows. I can set it to boot from usb. any ideas on how I can get into this machine or, barring that, load new software onto it?
