You can control what email notifications Facebook sends to you from your Notifications Settings.

1. Open the Account dropdown menu at the top right corner of Facebook and choose Account Settings.
2. Click the Notifications tab at the top of the page.
3. Use the checkboxes to control which notifications you receive via email and text message (SMS).
4. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page when you're finished.
