I am unable to install firefox whenever I click on setup file it goes through and puts firefox icon on desktop but when I click on icon it says “Windows can’t find Program Files/Firefox/firefox.exe”.

This may happen due to corrupt program association or registry issue. I will suggest you some steps here:

(a) First run a complete anti spyware and antivirus scan on your system.
(b) Uninstall Firefox
(c) Click Start>regedit>click edit>Find…type Firefox and search, delete any entries found
(d) Reinstall the latest version of the Firefox.
