When I try to play a video in YouTube, the CPU usage shoots up to 100%. Is there something wrong with the video card of my Windows 7-based computer?

We can try and check some other issues before coming to the video card. Which browser are you using and have you tried any other browser? Please try these steps:

(a) Install the latest version of flash player from the link http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
(b) Update the computers operating systems.
(c) Disable the addons in browser and check.
(d) IF the video plays fine in another browser, try to reset the browser.
(e) Check your system memory and see if it needs an upgrade. Also tweak the virtual memory settings.
(f) Update the video card drivers.
(g) Reduce the number of programs running in the background if you don’t need them. The unnecessarily use the memory and reduce system performance.
