How can I open a private browsing tab in Apple Safari?

Open a tab in Safari and click the ‘gear’ icon at the top right. Form the drop down menu, click ‘Private Browsing’ to select it. Once you do that, all the tabs will be private until you uncheck the option again.

I have an emachines e525 laptop running vista. I tried to create a couple of web shortcuts on the desktop which got created fine.. except for 1 little thing. When i tried to open it, I get a popup erro that says "Windows cannont find 'https://login.yahoo.com'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."But it still opens a firefox window with yahoo. So the shortcut is working. But why do I get the same error message every time???The only time i do not get it is if there is a window already open, but then i do not really need to use the shortcut. Its irritating!!Any ideas??

Strange problem. I use Mozilla FF. When is save a bookmark, it saves it. As soon as i close the window and open FF again, the bookmarks disappear??? Its vista on dell.
