Which blog are you using? I think you can create java code and embed in the site code or use plugins. I am using Word press and here are the steps that I follow:

To add the Twitter widget to your WordPress.com blog, just head to Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard. The brand new Twitter widget option is there. Click “Add” to add it to your sidebar, and then click “Edit” to set your Twitter username and choose how many updates you’d like to display. No passwords needed. Check your blogs control panel/setting to see if it has a inbuilt facility for tweet display.
