In Google Chrome, when I click the + sign on the top of the browser window, a new tab is not opening. Nothing happens when I click on +. How to fix this problem?

First disable all extensions to see if this may be causing the issue. Now let’s try one setting change. Enable the "Home" button and delete the "New Tab" link off the bar. The Home button does exactly what the New Tab button use to do. Now check if this helps.
