Using Google Chrome I downloaded a file, but now I can’t find where the file was saved. I was in a hurry and clicked Ok on being prompted for the file location…so I don’t remember the location for saving the file.

If you didn't change your default download location, then Google Chrome downloads files to the following locations:

• Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\\My Documents\Downloads
• Windows Vista: \Users\\Downloads
• Mac: /Users//Downloads
• Linux: home\\Downloads
If you had changed it, please see the location at:

• Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
• Select Options (Preferences on a Mac).
• Click the Under the Hood tab and scroll down to the "Downloads" section.

On opening some web pages in Internet Explorer 8, 'Done' is displayed in the bar at the bottom of the browser, but only a part of the page or a blank page is displayed. Sometimes just the background of the webpage comes up in the browser window. These pages are loaded completely in other browsers such as Google Chrome. I can't figure out what's wrong, please help.
