Are you using the 32 or the 64 bit version of Windows? Download the correct version directly from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie/home and then install it as an administrator. Make sure any other program like a security program is not hindering the installation.

I recently downloaded a cracked IDM full version. It told me to reboot the computer and so, I did. But after I reboot it, when I open Firefox it is not able to load any websites. My firewall didn't disable its connection, I changed the proxy settings to no proxy and I also used safe mode to disable all add-on. Please help!!!
