Hi, when I start typing a URL in the address bar of Google Chrome, the browser automatically displays a drop down list of the recently searched items. How can I disable this feature so that only the typed text appears in the address bar?

You can check these settings which may help you:

Turning off Predictions in the address bar :

1. Clear browsing history (optional - only do this if you don't want to see matches from your browsing history).
2. Click Wrench icon --> Options --> Under the hood --> Privacy --> uncheck "Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar"

Turning off Form Autofill:

Click Wrench icon --> Options --> Personal Stuff --> Autofill --> uncheck "Enable Autofill to fill out web forms in a single click"
